The power supply which never came home

Leaving a laptop or phone power supply behind is a really easy thing to do and is also really frustrating.

• My top tip is this, if you use your laptop somewhere else, such as in another office, don’t unplug the power supply, drop the cable onto the floor and then pack up the rest of your stuff, rather unplug the lead, hold onto it if possible, walk around the desk/table and collect the power supply before putting your laptop away. Otherwise you are highly lightly to have forgotten all about the power supply before you have finished putting everything else into your bag.
• If you are travelling to another office or venue find a way to remind yourself to pick up your power supply before leaving which works for you e.g. a sticky note on the top of your laptop or an alarm 15 minutes before you are due to leave.
• Have a bag which holds everything you need for travel with a specific place for your essentials and make it a habit to check for those things before leaving.
