Who is at risk of missing out on important conversations in a remote organisation?

Great question here:

  • Everyone, although I know I have also missed out on important conversations way before WFH. What are the conversations? What are the most effective communication channels? Can you share certain messages in multiple ways?
  • If they are cascaded comms then make sure that there is a culture of effective 1:1s and that people make sure the important things are always brought to those sessions
  • Is there an announcements channel on your chat platform of choice? Make it broadcast only and share short headlines with links to an appropriate place for full details
  • Have all hands calls, lean coffee for teams with an up front “now hear this”
  • Have a company podcast with updates
  • Make sure that someone on each team is tasked with making sure that communications are effective

Any other examples of important conversations which would not be covered by these or any other good ideas to avoid people missing out on important conversations?
